Payments:
Out-of pocket payment for an individual session is due at the end of each session. Cash, check, money order or credit card is accepted. If you have insurance coverage, we will either provide a receipt for reimbursement or with certain contracted agreements, your out-of-pocket fee, including the coverage of your deductible, will be the only payment expected from you at the conclusion of each session. The standard counseling fee is $90 per fifty-minute session or $85 if payment by cash or check is received at the time of the appointment. The initial diagnostic interview is $130, which includes 50 minutes with the client and additional time for evaluation and planning of the treatment.

Sliding Scale:
Covenant counseling commits to providing quality counseling - at an affordable cost. For those whose personal resources are limited, your out-of-pocket fee can be adjusted to reflect your ability to pay. If you wish to be considered for this adjustment, speak with your counselor so that an adjustment rate can be determined. It is best if this entire process can be completed prior to or at your initial session. Demonstration of financial need is based upon yearly income and total family size, via a federal income tax form, line “adjusted gross income.”

Difficulty Meeting Obligation:
If you anticipate difficulty in meeting your out-of-pocket cost, discuss your circumstances immediately with your counselor.

Insurance or Employment Assistance:
If you have questions regarding your insurance or employment assistance coverage, please contact your insurance company or employer to review your policy or options to cover counseling costs.

Cancellations: If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or on a Saturday or Sunday for a Monday appointment, you are responsible for the session fee. If the appointment was missed due to sickness, a family hardship or something legitimate outside your control, you will be responsible for $50 of the regular $90 charge. You can notify your counselor by simply calling the office and leaving a message.
